Maple Balsamic Salad Dressing

Here’s my simple salad dressing recipe using ingredients you can pronounce 🙌

Maple Balsamic Dressing👅

Ingredients: • 1 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar • 3-4 raw garlic cloves • 2 tbsp dijon mustard • 2 tbsp maple syrup • 1/2 tsp salt

Blend ingredients together and that’s it! This makes about 2 cups (500mL) and will keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Note: if your extra virgin olive oil or dressing tastes off, try a new bottle and/or brand as it may be rancid or not high quality (some companies sneakily dilute their oil with other oils like soybean or sunflower)☝️

Caution with bloaters! 💥 Garlic is a prebiotic meaning it feeds the bacteria in our gut. Prebiotics are generally good for us as they feed the good bacteria which are very important for our immune and overall health. However, prebiotics can cause bloating in some people that have an imbalance in gut bacteria. Garlic may also cause bloating in some people because it can be difficult to digest or due to an individual food sensitivity. Omit the garlic if it makes you bloated or gives you digestive symptoms!
