Mental Health IS HEALTH

Mental health affects us all❕

Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

Whether you’ve been diagnosed with a mental illness or not, we’ve all been affected by mental health in some way. 1 in 5 Canadians experiences a mental health problem or illness in any given year - but I honestly think that’s a huge underestimate.

We know our physical and mental health are massively connected. Mental health concerns can arise as a result of physical conditions such as chronic disease, injuries, and chronic pain.

I struggled with depression and anxiety while I was in the thick of Post-concussion Syndrome. It was hard. It was isolating.

No matter who you are, it’s okay not to be okay. It’s okay to struggle. It’s also okay to feel and express your emotions.

You are not alone, mental illness is everywhere. So#BellLetsTalk and always keep talking! 💖
