Nourishing & Balance Smoothie


Smoothies! 🌸

The key to a good smoothie is to try to balance carbs, fats and proteins so that it's filling and full of nutrients. Often smoothies made with just fruit and fruit juices are high in sugar and result in us feeling hungry shortly after. 🥤This one is just about 40g of carbs, fats and proteins and is my go-to when I feel like a smoothie!

Balanced Berry Smoothie 🍓🍃🥑

Ingredients • 1 cup frozen organic mixed berries • 1 cup baby kale & spinach (fresh or frozen) • 1/2 frozen banana • 2 tbsp almond butter • 1 tbsp olive oil or half an avocado • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed • 1 tbsp hemp hearts • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder • dash of cinnamon • 1 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk

Blend until smooth and you’re good to go! 👍Sometimes I use cauliflower instead of banana or use a little bit of both to get some more veggies in! I grind a bunch of flax at once or buy it ground and then store it in the freezer to keep the oils intact over time.
